Never a line, and they do their best to accomodate the customer's needs and provide information. Very small; they may have to order some of the less common drugs. Atmosphere is relaxed and business-like.
This is a great pharmacy. Almost never has a line. If I want to wait for a prescription, it's done quickly. When my prescription has expired, they call my doctor for an updated prescription, saving me the bother. It isn't perfect -- since it's a small pharmacy, they don't always have what I need on hand and I have to come back the next day. Nothing I haven't experienced with larger drug stores, and they give me enough to satisfy my needs. When I refill over the phone, they call the house to tell me when it's ready. I recommend them to all my friends.
Convenient because sometimes you can shop while they fill your Rx. Also, you usually deal directly with a pharmacist rather than an assistant.
The prior reviewer appears to have confused reviewing the Safeway in general with reviewing the pharmacy. Her comments about the few (and overworked) staff at this particular safeway IS true - except the pharmacy. While the staff there work crazy hours they are almost always professional, courteous and quick.
First, this not a pharmacy.This Safeway store is terrible. The cashier was rather helpful but assistant manager Malva was rude and unprofessional. She was unavailable for 30 min (6:05-6:30pm) and there was nobody else at the counter where people were waiting for half an hour(though it was supposed to be open until 7pm). This store never have enough cashiers and you have to wait forever. Terrible place. Never return back.
