Being former owner of one of the largest dotcom overnight rose delivery companies in the USA, it was ironic that I had to pick out a reliable florist with the highest quality roses. I searched Google and Yelp and all the local florists there had similar ratings so I phoned each to see which was the most knowledgeable and had the freshest roses.

5 hours later my sweetie's anger toward my dumb a#$ changed back to the loving sweet schoolgirl attitude she held before I opened my big mouth. She went on for a half hour describing the beauty and the way it made her feel good. She totally forgave me and she does not know it (Until she reads this) but those roses and the change made mme feel even better than it made her feel.
(The photos are from my sweetie over 2 days and show fresh high petal count roses from Ecuador which are slightly bigger than Colombian roses where 90% of US sold roses are grown.)
I narrowed it down based on ratings to the top 3 in the area and commenced calling. One shop had no clue. The highest rated (well most rating anyway) had a knowledgeable sales person and good roses but I like to save a buck and their prices were same as Teleflora prices so I tried to negotiate a better price (Teleflora generally takes about 1/3 of the price you pay on one of their associated florist prices so you can usually negotiate 10 to 20% by calling the shop in person). These guys would not even consider it so I called the next Suburban and the longtime owner of the family business answered every question I had and trust me I grilled her. When I asked the price it turns out that it was 20% les expensive than the more rated florist near the Hilton, for even better variety of roses. Felt so good about it I never tried to get the price down and I bought in a small teddy bear and chocolates with the savings.
My family and I worked with Cherie for some flower arrangements and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. She listened attentively to our desires and executed them flawlessly. We will always appreciate what she and her team did for us and will definitely be using Suburban Florist in the future.
Unbelievable. My mother tried to send me flowers for my birthday. I came home after a long day at work to a note on my door saying that they had delivered the flowers to another address and that I should go pick them up from that address. I called Suburban and they could not resolve the situation. I called my mother to tell her to call and ask for a refund; after we hung up the flowers appeared at the door along with a delivery guy who thought there was nothing wrong with delivering flowers to another address after we had not been home when they'd tried to deliver mid-day. The best part is they had spoken with me on the phone earlier that week about delivery and told me there was no issue with my not being able to get home until 4 or 5; they said they would deliver them later in the day and it would not be a problem.
