Nice place but the restaurant closes early, but room service is still available. And GPS getting here shows it on the other side of the road a little further down. I understand that GPS is set-up by the county. But when you are 3 lanes over expecting to turn right, and it appears on the wrong side and then trying to get over and learning that there are no u-turns allowed in the area and the traffic is heavy and not very friendly. The staff at the hotel, on the other hand are nice and friendly.
Great hotel. I'm a real sucker for a place that gives me a warm chocolate chip cookie when I check in! The room and accommodations were good with a nice balcony in addition. Only complaint was the sheets had a couple spots, but the staff were apologetic and seemed surprised. The shuttle to NIH makes it great for anyone going to Bethesda for NIH related business.
The room I had was a bit outdated and needs need improvement, especially the water heater and plumbing. I could not get the shower hot enough for my liking. Otherwise rooms were clean as usual.
I was attending a social/professional event. Location was decent, valet offered or several parking garages nearby. The Hotel front desk staff were pleasant and professional. The only disconcerting issue was having a party paid for and see the food served 1 hour late then be removed an hour and a half before the end of the event. The serving staff stated they were just trying to be prepared to go home. The food we paid for was dumped in the trash in minutes and we still had guests arriving late expecting to eat.
I stayed here one night. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I opted for valet parking and had no issues.
We are spending one night here after staying in the Courtyard Marriott up the street. What a disappointment!!! I'm being very generous giving this hotel 3 stars! The front desk reception was very pleasant and welcoming. The bathroom could use a GOOD scrubbing, the towels are hard and stiff and the bed need to be replaced. The bed sinks all the way down and sounds like every spring in the "mattress" is weak. I would NOT recommend this hotel to friends and family. I definitely won't be returning. If you are looking for a clean and beautiful hotel, go up the street to the Courtyard Marriott. I wished, I had of booked there for both nights
